We thought we’d heard everything when Dina Lohan received her Top Mom award last month. But we were wrong, as now Kevin Federline is the Father of the Year!
That’s right, K-Fed’s paternal duties in light of his ex-wife Britney Spears’ personal turmoil has earned him the right to be called the Father of the Year.
The wannabe rapper arrived at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas two hours late last night to accept his award at the Prive Nightclub.
And he looked dapper in a black pinstripe suit with a white button-up shirt and a wine red striped tie with shiny black shoes. Refusing to give any interviews, K-Fed posed for a few pics and then went inside.
Wearing a multicolored strapless outfit, Hilary Duff stepped out for lunch at the celebrity-popular Katsuya Restaurant in Studio City, California on Saturday (June 14).
Joining the 20-year-old “Foodfight!” star was her 27-year-old New York Islander hockey playing boyfriend Mike Comrie, who kept things more casual with a t-shirt, cargo pants and sneakers.
As for her career in film, Hilary is thrilled about the response she’s received for her role in the political satire “War, Inc.”
Receiving rave reviews, Duff appears to have garnered the credibility as a ‘bona fide actress’ that she’s been fighting so hard to achieve, with critics saying things like “Hilary Duff finally looks like a real actress.”
Showing off her stuff in a sparkly silver ensemble, Audrina Patridge was front and center at the US launch party for Kira Plastinina on Saturday night (June 14).
The 23-year-old MTV reality starlet has reportedly entered into a business deal with the 16-year-old Russian designer prodigy, with the two quickly becoming friends upon meeting.
According to press reports, “Plastinina had recently contacted Audrina, the only “Hills” principle without her own clothing line, to meet for dinner in L.A., and recruited her as an official brand ambassador.”
As for Plastinina, she recently opened 40 stores in Russia bankrolled by her millionaire father. Her first location in the States opened in New York City in mid-May, with many more sure to come.
Getting back to her regular Los Angeles routine following a recent Costa Rican getaway to Mel Gibson’s place, Britney Spears was spotted out for a bit of shopping at Lisa Kline on Wednesday (May 21).
The recovering pop tart scooped up a few items at the Robertson Boulevard boutique before hitting the back exit with her handlers nearby.
Meanwhile, in other Britney related new, it has been confirmed by producers J.R. Rotem and Sean Garrett that Spears is back in the recording studio working with them on some new tracks.
“She’s great,” Rotem told People magazine. “She’s like a master at what she does. She’s a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the ‘it’ factor that not every artist has. So it’s always nice to work with her.”
Garrett had positive comments as well, saying: “I’m just happy to see her back and recovering. She’s really shaping up and getting her whole situation back together. I’m really proud and happy to see her.”
While she thought the whole ordeal was behind her, Lindsay Lohan has now been dealt a lawsuit accusing her of taking a fur coat without permission.
Press reports tell that 22-year-old Masha Markova has filed paperwork in Manhattan’s state Supreme Court - alleging that Lohan “took her $12,000 golden sheared mink coat when they were both at the New York City nightclub 1Oak in January.”
Telling how she knew that it was LiLo who swiped her fancy fur, Markova said she was browsing through a magazine when she stumbled upon a photo of Lohan wearing her coat. “It was my coat. It was no doubt,” she told the New York Post.
Since that time, the coat was returned to Masha by the club - but apparently getting her property back wasn’t enough for the New York college student.
At this time, Lohan’s reps have yet to issue a statement pertaining to their client’s latest legal affair.
Following last week’s New Kids on the Block spectacle, Fergie had her work cut out for her. But as always she brought her A-game during this morning’s performance on the Today show.

And when she appeared, dressed in skin-tight latex pants and leather boots with a purple zip-up jacket and psychedelic blue shirt, the crowd erupted.
The “My Humps” babe treated the audience to her own version of “Barracuda” by Heart, as well as her own hits “Clumsy,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and the new Sex and the City movie theme “Labels or Love.”

Celebrating her one-year wedding anniversary with her husband locked up in jail, Amy Winehouse was surprised on Sunday morning when she received a large delivery of flowers at her doorstep.
In the recent past, the Rehab singer has been said to be considering a divorce from Blake Fielder-Civil, but more recent reports claim that Winehouse is now telling friends that she wants to renew her vows upon her hubby’s release.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Amy and Blake are more determined than ever to show the world they are together. As soon as he is out they will be renewing their wedding vows - they want to put two fingers up to those who want them apart.”
The insider added: “They want another wedding, a family and are even planning to set up a business together.”
As previously reported by Gossip Girls, “Blake was remanded to HMP Pentonville last November after he was accused of perverting the course of justice in an assault case. Both cases are to be heard in court next month - with Blake facing up to ten years in prison if found guilty on both counts.”
It’s official: Jenna Bush and Henry Hager got married on Saturday!
This made one of George W. Bush’s twin daughters the first daughter of a sitting United States president to exchange vows in 16 years.
The down-home setting was a lakeside ceremony at President Bush’s secluded 1,600-acre Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas.
Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell of Houston, Texas, presided over the ceremony before a four-foot limestone cross and altar - the president’s idea for the event - which will stand as a permanent landmark on the Bushes’ property.
“This is a joyous occasion for our family, as we celebrate the life ahead of Jenna and her husband, Henry,” the president said.
“It’s also a special time for Laura, who this Mother’s Day weekend will watch a young woman we raised together walk down the aisle.”
A source at the ranch said that the president alone, in traditional style, was escorting the bride to the altar. A White House spokeswoman said she did not know if Jenna Bush planned to take the name of Henry Hager.
We know, not exactly breaking news here. But a new book from a former manager alleges that a groggy O.J. Simpson, high on marijuana, confessed to double murder.
Mike Gilbert, a memorabilia dealer, also claims that he helped his former friend wiggle out of the murder charges by suggesting how to bloat his hands so they wouldn’t fit the notorious bloody gloves.
Gilbert’s book, How I Helped O.J. Get Away With Murder: The Shocking Inside Story of Violence, Loyalty, Regret and Remorse, is due in stores Monday.
He said Simpson smoked pot and taken a sleeping pill and was drinking beer when he confided at his home in Los Angeles’ Brentwood neighborhood weeks after his trial what happened that infamous night of June 12, 1994.
As he tells it, O.J. Simpson said he went to his ex-wife’s condominium but did not bring a knife with him. Simpson told him that his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, had one in her hand when she opened the door.
In a soft mumble, Simpson told him: “If she hadn’t opened that door with a knife in her hand … she’d still be alive.”
Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman were stabbed to death at the entrance to her condominium. The knife was never found.
