Jorja Fox, who has starred on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation since 2000, will not be completing the series’ current season. She will be bowing out after the seventh episode in November.
Her character Sara Sidle, survived the season premiere. The premiere of the show beat out Grey’s Anatomy ratings by about 4 million viewers.
Fox and producers could not come to terms on a salary boost, which they had been negotiating since January. Fox, along with costar George Eads, were both fired from their roles back in 2004, when they famously held out, unsuccessfully, for a bigger payday. They eventually were rehired after making public mea culpas. Eads wounded up with a contract extension, but not Jorja did not.
