There are few musicians that can say that they’ve rocked out for the President of the United States at the White House. And the Jonas Brothers just got added to that list.
Kevin, Joseph, and Nicholas Jonas were given the esteemed honor of being invited to sing the National Anthem at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn of the White House yesterday.
And they handled it like seasoned pros. As they stood on the balcony overlooking the South lawn, it was clear that the “Hold On” singers had brought their A-game.
The crowd agreed, clapping loudly at the conclusion of the song, before setting out to roll upwards of 7,500 eggs across the lawn using only spoons in the Egg Roll Race.
With a wedding that took place during a 90-minute break between her Vegas magic shows, it comes as little surprise that Pamela Anderson is back on the single’s list.
The former Baywatch babe’s lengthy two-month marriage to Rick Salomon, which lasted from October to December of 2007, came to its end in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday (March 24).
According to press reports, “The marriage was annulled on grounds of fraud. Initially, when Pam filed legal papers back in December, she was asking for a straight divorce. But on February 22, documents were filed asking for an annulment, citing fraud.”
As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Salomon had since filed his own papers claiming “fraud” as the reason for the annulment - with insiders telling that the former couple “privately stipulated to fraud - as Pam promised Rick they would have children together.”
While we’ve all been waiting for her victorious comeback tour, Britney Spears has been gearing up for a return to television. And the “Toxic” singer will be appearing on the March 24th episode of CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother.”
Brit will play Abby, a receptionist at a doctor’s office who falls for Josh Radnor’s character Ted when he comes in to have a tattoo removed.
“How I Met Your Mother” creator Craig Thomas recently told press he was overjoyed when Spears’ peeps approached him about a guest starring role. “Britney’s people ended up coming to CBS and expressing interest in our show, and we were thrilled: ‘Britney Spears watches our show!’”
And unlike most business decisions, this one happened in mere minutes. “We heard that they read about the part on Thursday. We were literally in the middle of a re-write of that script, and they said, ‘Oh, we’re having dinner with Britney tonight, and she likes the show. Can you get her a script a half-hour from now?’ So we just sort of busted a** for the next 40 minutes, hit print and showed her our in-progress rewrite of the episode. She got in and thought the character was really funny and said yes the very next day.”
According to Thomas, the “Gimme More” singer was an instant hit among the cast and crew. “She seemed to fit right in! She was having a good time. She was laughing. And it’s a very sweet, romantic episode, so the vibe in the room was just very fun. Everyone was having a good time, and I think she had a good time.”
Note to aspiring filmmakers - if you’re gonna try and sneak a few celebrity house shots into your next movie, make sure you get clearance first. Take a lesson from the guys arrested outside of Kate Hudson’s home.
According to an official police report, authorities arrested an undisclosed number of men outside the New York City home the “Fool’s Gold” actress earlier today.
It all started when a neighbor called 911 “after seeing what she thought were men on her roof with a rifle.”
As it turns out, the rifle was camera equipment, and the men were taken into custody for what was assumed to be trespassing. They’re still being held at press time.
