David And Victoria Beckham Renew Their Vows

David and Victoria Beckham have officially renewed their vows and celebrated the event with new tattoos of the date. No matter what the press says, these two are definitely in love. And I think that is so refreshing to see in Hollywood. It’s almost like they are a new couple - that obsession you have with your partner in the beginning that is insatiable. It’s hard to believe they have over a decade and three kids behind them.
AND to top it all off - it was a SURPRISE to Victoria! Why am I practically in tears? That is so romantic!!!

Only a handful of friends and family were invited to watch them remarry in the grounds of Beckingham Palace. One said: “We were in tears. It was beautiful and very non-showbiz.” The couple marked the big day by tattooing the ceremony date on their wrists in Roman numerals.

Romantic David Beckham arranged his secret second wedding to Victoria without even telling her - springing the surprise on the big day itself.

2008 Grammys Ready For Lift Off

Early arrivals for the 50th annual Grammy Awards ceremony are currently getting underway at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. And while the arena may be best known for the basketball played there by the Los Angeles Lakers, tonight, the world’s brightest musicians will rock the stage.

This particular award ceremony always tends to bring out the biggest players in Hollywood. Regardless of whether or not a celebrity is a musician, they still want to be associated with the music industry’s top award show. One can expect the red carpet to be glittered with clothes from the hottest designers, and diamonds worth more than the average home.

Some of the artists selected to perform at the Grammy’s this year include Kanye West, John Mayer, Amy Winehouse, and BeBe Winans. Kanye is leading all nominees with a grand total of eight nominations, and is expect to clean up tonight.

At the other end of the spectrum, there’s Amy Winehouse. Still in rehab and reeling from a non-stop streak of bad publicity, Winehouse is really looking to try and make her performance tonight a sign that she still has what it takes to entertain the masses.

The award show will be broadcast in HDTV on CBS tonight from 8 – 11:30 pm (EST). To catch some of the red carpet arrivals, try tuning in around 7 o’clock to be safe.

Carrie Underwood’s Powerful Grammy Performance

As if being the 50th Grammy Awards ceremony didn’t already generate enough buzz itself, having country music superstar Carrie Underwood open up with her chart topping hit “Before He Cheats” put things over the top from the beginning of the show.

Drifting slightly from her country roots, Underwood has really made an attempt to appeal to the Top 40 music audience to increase the reach of her music. Wearing skimpy little black shorts and a pair of boots is more expected from the likes of a Britney Spears or Rihanna.

Carrie Underwood’s live performance was first class, and will be remembered as one of the highlights of the evening. The directors of the Grammys went with a sure bet in Underwood to deliver a solid opening act, as they gave current rehab resident Amy Winehouse a slot later in the show after things were already going.

Last year Underwood surpassed Faith Hill, becoming the rising queen of country music. The deadly combination of her amazing voice and stunning looks has made her a household name (not too bad for an American Idol contestant).

Teen Vogue on Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port: “It Was Time for Them to Move On”

Despite reports, Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port weren’t given the pink slip by Teen Vogue.

“I just thought it was time for them to try something new,” Editor-In-Chief Amy Astley told Usmagazine.com at the Ralph Lauren fall fashion show this morning. “An internship is a short thing, and I just felt it was time for them to move on a little bit.”

Women’s Wear Daily had reported the magazine decided to part ways with the MTV reality show because of the girls’ wild lifestyles of clubbing, making out and feuding.

“I think that’s really why Teen Vogue had had their moment with them — it went into another zone,” their boss, editor Lisa Love, told Us.

Asked if the show is scripted, Love replied, “I think why they say all that is because there’s so much editing.

“They shoot reality and somehow it’s changed in the editing room to appeal to things, I don’t know,” she said. “I’ve never watched the show.

“They were great interns in the beginning,” Love added of Conrad and Port, “and then it’s time for interns to go some place else, right?”

Seems like Conrad has already moved on. She recently unveiled her new clothing line, the Lauren Conrad Collection.

What does Love think of her designs?

“I think it’s more T-shirt kind of things and jeans, very simple basics.”

Still, she said the duds could “possibly” be featured in a larger facet in the magazine.

Writers Strike 99% Over!

A deal has been reached, CNBC is reporting.

The new deal will now go before the entire Writers Guild members on Saturday for approval, but that is pretty much a given at this point.

Yay!

Everyone should be getting back to work soon and the Oscars will go on as planned.

Britney Spears: Getting Extended Stay

Earlier this afternoon, Britney Spears’ parents paid her a visit after spending time at K-Fed’s house, showing up just before 1 pm and staying until a little past 6 pm.

Diagnosed as a sever bipolar patient, it looks like the troubled pop tart has found herself a temporary home in the UCLA Medical Center.

According to the latest reports, sometime very soon it’s expected that papers will be signed extending Britney’s involuntary stay at the psych ward by two weeks.

Meanwhile, during any of these holds, “a patient-rights advocate and a court representative will interview Ms. Spears to find out if she objects to being held against her will.”

So, if Britney decides she wants to leave, she can set court hearings in motion just by saying that she doesn’t want to be there anymore.
