Vanessa Hudgens Wasn’t Looking To Be Famous

She’s one of the most recognizable singer/actresses of the up and coming generation in Hollywood, but Vanessa Hudgens says she never meant for it to be this way.

The High School Musical hottie confesses that the whole fame and fortune thing was never a part of her original plan. She told press, “I became an actress and started singing and dancing because I truly loved it. I did not want to be a celebrity. … I think fame is just something that comes along when you are in something that is such a success.”

And along with celebrity comes other undesirable side-effects. “People become jaded and infatuated with Hollywood. I think it happens to a lot of celebrities, and it messes with their head.”

If not for HSM, Hudgens says she may have taken a more Kelly Clarkson route. “I was 15 at the time … and you had to be 16 to audition. So I thought, ‘One more year.’ Then, when I turned 16, High School Musical came along and I got to do it. So I thought I’d skip on American Idol.”

Lindsay Lohan’s Hearing To Be Videotaped

She’s been trying to fight it for quite some time, but as it turns out, Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming hearing will be videotaped.

The “Mean Girls” actress, who was spotted out for sushi with Stavros Niarchos last night, will be taped during her upcoming deposition in a civil lawsuit regarding her car crash two years ago. Raymundo Ortega is the plaintiff in the case.

Back in 2005, LiLo collided her car with Ortega’s van, and shortly thereafter she started getting into trouble for DUI and drug charges. Therefore, Ortega is claiming that Lohan was intoxicated when the accident (which was his fault) occurred.

The “Georgia Rule” actress’ attorney, David J. Ozeran, wrote in the court papers, “If a single picture of Ms. Lohan can sell for thousands of dollars, a videotape of the deposition will undoubtedly sell for tens of thousands of dollars, or more.” He claimed that videotaping would be an attempt to, “annoy Ms. Lohan and to attempt to gain a litigation advantage by causing her concern about the embarrassment of such a videotape.’’

But in the end, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern ruled (earlier today) that he was denying Lindsay’s bid to bar video cameras from the courtroom.

Sharon Stone Talks Life Evaluation

She told press, “It’s a big thing, like when you have anything that affects the brain. It’s pretty scary - I think when anyone has a big affecting incident in their life, whether it’s a divorce or a job change or a move or a health crisis, it’s a moment to reconsider your whole life. And it’s very affecting.”

And while she’s in a positive emotional place now, Stone says it wasn’t always this way. “I seem to be able to walk and talk just fine (now). (But) in the beginning, I have to say, it was (touch and go).”

The truths in Hulk Hogan and Linda Hogan’s divorce.

There was something wrong with the newspaper reporter’s account of Hulk Hogan not knowing about his divorce. TMZ has investigated and found out the truth. Hulk actually did know about his divorce. His lawyer informed him.

Linda Hogan filed for divorce but a source said that she still hoped for ways to save her marriage. It appeared that Hulk is the other half who had a responsible role to negotiate.

A source told that a part of Hulk Hogan’s reality show, “Hogan Knows Best”, was filmed when the couple was already separated but everyone pretended that all was well.

Hulk Hogan’s wife seeks divorce

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) Linda Hogan has filed for divorce from her wrestler husband Hulk Hogan, a newspaper reported Friday.

Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, told the St. Petersburg Times that he had no idea his wife had filed for divorce. He was informed by a reporter that Pinellas County court records showed that the paperwork was submitted Tuesday.

“Thank you for the great information,” he told the reporter.

Family spokesman Adam Handelsman referred calls to another spokesman, who did not immediately respond Friday night.

“My wife has been in California for about three weeks. … Holy smokes,” Bollea later told the newspaper. “Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me.”

The couple star in the VH1 reality TV series “Hogan Knows Best,” with their two children. Recent episodes show the normally close couple attending marital counseling, but they eventually reconcile.

On Nov. 7, Hogan’s son, 17-year-old Nick Bollea, was arrested on reckless-driving charges after a car crash. Clearwater police said Bollea crashed his 1998 Toyota Supra on Aug. 26 while street racing against a silver Dodge Viper driven by a friend. A report said Bollea was driving faster than 60 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Bollea’s passenger, John Graziano, was not wearing a seat belt and was critically injured. Bollea, who was wearing a seat belt, was not seriously injured.

The Hogans moved to a $12 million bayfront estate on Miami Beach in 2006 so their children, Brooke and Nick, could pursue singing and acting careers. They had previously lived in Clearwater, near Tampa.

Christina Aguilera Celebrates Two Years of Marriage

It was a happy second wedding anniversary for Christina Aguilera and her music producer husband Jordan Bratman.

The couple got dressed up for a stylish dinner outing at Amalfi, taking advantage of the last year in which they don’t have to set up babysitter arrangements.

Christina and Jordan are expecting their first child together in early 2008, and have been busy going through the motions leading up to their baby’s arrival.

Just this past weekend, Christina Milian, who attended Aguilera’s baby shower, told press: “Her son is going to be pretty lucky because his mom … she’s just awesome. She is going to be a cool mom.”

Cool, indeed!

Britney’s OC Night Out - What You Didn’t See

More potentially damaging images have surfaced from the night when Britney Spears’ custody battle took a left turn down S**t’s Creek.

Nik Richie at DirtyNewport.com posted these photos of Brit as she appeared in the VIP area at Social Group’s Club Sutra in Newport Beach — the same night K-Fed’s attorneys claim Brit disobeyed a judge’s order and drank alcohol within 12 hours of being with her kids.

As TMZ first reported, Spears was poured a Pink Vodka and Red Bull cocktail by one of the club’s waitresses and didn’t leave the club until after midnight! As you can see in the photos, Spears appears to be having a hell of a good time — but was it worth it?

Julianna Margulies Quietly Gets Married

Former E.R. star Julianna Margulies quietly married lawyer Keith Lieberthal in Massachusetts last weekend, her rep confirms.

Margulies, 41, who is about seven months pregnant, wore a white Narciso Rodriguez gown and Lieberthal wore a black Armani suit at their Nov. 10 wedding in Lenox, Mass.

“It was all traditional. It was very touching. She was radiant. It was beautiful,” her father, Paul Margulies, who walked her down the aisle, tells PEOPLE. “We’re thrilled for her, and the young man she married is a wonderful person. We’re proud to have him as a part of our family.”

The baby, due in mid-January, will be the first for the couple. The actress recently told PEOPLE at a premiere she’s “doing great.”

Margulies and her new husband had no time for a honeymoon, her father says. They flew back to California, where Julianna is working on her new TV series, “Canterbury’s Law.

“They’re both very busy,” her father says.

Lohan freed after 84 minutes in jail

LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan was a jailbird for just 84 minutes Thursday, becoming the latest celebrity to serve less than a day for a drunken driving offense.

Lohan, 21, turned herself in to the Los Angeles County women’s detention center in Lynwood at 10:30 a.m. She was searched, fingerprinted and placed in a holding cell in the inmate reception area but got to keep her street clothes, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

“She was cooperative,” he said.

Lohan was released at 11:54 a.m. Her original daylong sentence was reduced because she met criteria that took into account overcrowding at the lockup and the fact that her crime was nonviolent, Whitmore said.

Did the celebrity receive special treatment?

“Absolutely not. This is what we do for most everybody in this position,” Whitmore said. In fact, 30 to 50 women are granted early releases from the facility every day, he added.

An e-mailed message seeking comment from Lohan’s publicist was not immediately returned.

In May, the star of “Mean Girls” and “Freaky Friday” was arrested after crashing her Mercedes-Benz into a tree in Beverly Hills. She was arrested again in July after the mother of Lohan’s former personal assistant called 911 to report that her car was being chased by an SUV. The chase ended in Santa Monica, where police arrested Lohan for being behind the wheel. In both cases, Lohan was found in possession of small amounts of cocaine.

In August, she reached a plea deal on misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges stemming from the arrests. The judge sentenced her to four days in jail the mandatory minimum for a second drunken-driving offense but gave her credit for 24 hours already served. She elected to complete 10 days of community service instead of 48 hours behind bars.

The total deal called for her to enter treatment, spend a day in jail and perform community service.

“It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs,” Lohan said in a statement released by her publicist in August.

Lohan had until Jan. 18 to serve the jail time.

She spent two minutes longer in lockup than Nicole Richie did in August for a similar offense.

Richie was arrested Dec. 11, 2006, after witnesses reported seeing her black Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle headed the wrong way on a freeway in Burbank. She pleaded guilty in July to a misdemeanor DUI charge in a deal with prosecutors that helped her avoid a potential year in jail because it was a second driving-under-the-influence conviction. She served 82 minutes in custody, during which she was booked but never actually placed in a cell.

Richie’s co-star on TV’s “The Simple Life,” Paris Hilton, served 23 days at the same jail this year after she was found guilty of driving on a suspended license while on probation for an alcohol-related reckless-driving case.

David Cassidy’s daughter, Katie was arrested.

Katie Cassidy — actress daughter of David Cassidy — got nabbed by cops a few weeks ago, for alleged underage boozing, but the unbelievable part of the story is that she tried to get out of her arrest by pretending to be another actress, Taylor Quinn Cole (pictured, inset)!

Cassidy, star of CW’s “Supernatural” and longtime girlfriend of Jesse McCartney, was popped in Tucson, Ariz., when she was riding in a car pulled over for moving violations. According to the police report, obtained by The Smoking Gun, when cops noticed that she reeked of alcohol and that her face was “expressionless,” they asked for I.D.

Cassidy allegedly told officers her name was Taylor Cole (who guest starred on “Supernatural”), and that she was from Vancouver (Katie’s from L.A.), that she was 21, and — oops — that her birthday was April 29, 1984 (which would’ve made her 23).

After cops pointed out her math mistake, Katie fessed-up to lying about her identity, explaining that she was “a Hollywood actress” and was “scared.” The arresting officer then called Katie’s mom, who asked him “what could be done” to help Cassidy’s cause.
